Ce matin Freddy et Lenny ont fait un cake aux jambon/ tomates pour maman (c'est mon préféré!). Lenny adore faire la cuisine avec son papa, c'est l'une des activités manuelles des weekends.
Suite à une forte demande sur la philosophie Montessori, je reviendrai dessus régulièrement. Montessori explique qu'il est inutile d'acheter aux enfants de fausses cuisines, casseroles... car les enfants préfèrent jouer "pour de vrai" avec les grands. La méthode Montessori conseille également de tout mettre à la hauteur de l'enfant, c'est pourquoi Freddy et Lenny font la cuisine sur une table basse, assis sur de petits tabourets!
This morning Freddy and Lenny baked a savoury cake (ham and tomatoes) for Mummy (my favourite!). Lenny really enjoys baking with Daddy, that is one of the activities of the weekends.
Due to a popular demand I will come back to the Montessori Philosophy regularly. Here for example, the Montessori approach says that it is useless to buy small kitchen units and play dishes for the kids as they prefer to play with real utensils with their parents! (So Ellie you were actually doing Montessori without knowing it when you had Honey baking cookies). Also because Montessori advices to put everything at the child's level, Lenny and Freddy are baking on the coffee table sat on small benches.

... et papa les rattrape comme il peut! / ... and Daddy tries his best to catch them!
