"Desperate housewife"!

Comme toute femme et mère au foyer, je suis inscrite dans un groupe d'activités manuelles. L'hiver approchant j'ai choisi le tricot, au printemps je choisirai "jardinage"! Comme la plupart des mamans, la première chose que j'ai tricoté n'était pas pour moi mais pour mon fils. J'ai commencé simple: une écharpe et un chapeau sur une maille simple. Prochain défi: une couverture pour la petite fille de mon cousin qui arrive en décembre (ouf encore deux mois!) Je crois que le tricot revient à la mode en France selon la marraine de mon fils, Mélanie, et l'une de mes amies anglaises, Ellie, a tricoté une magnifique couverture pour son nouveau-né, et cela m'a donner envie d'apprendre le B A B A du tricot. Quelle satisfaction de partir d'une pelote de laine et d'arriver à des accessioires qui tiendront chaud à mon petit garçon.

As a stay-at-home wife and mum ("home carer" in Irish) , I took part of a knitting class as winter is coming fast! In the spring, I will probably choose gardening classes! Like a lot of mums, the first thing I knitted was not for me, but for my gorgeous son. I started simple: a scarf and a hat. Next challenge will be a blanket for my cousin's baby due in December. According to my son's godmother, knitting is becoming fashion in France and I guess in the UK as well. My friend, Ellie, has knitted a beautiful blanket for her newborn and when I saw it, I was impressed and it gave me the will to learn how to knit. I think this is wonderful to start with a ball of wool and end up with accessories that will keep my little boy warm.

Que les enfants sont ingrats! Après avoir passé deux semaines sur cette écharpe et ce chapeau, Lenny semble avoir honte de les porter! Leçon retenue, je ne lui tricoterai sûrement pas quelque chose lorsqu'il sera ado!

Kids can be ungrateful! After knitting for two weeks with all my love for him, Lenny did not want to wear his scarf and hat and when I eventually convinced him, he did not want to have his photo taken! I definitely won't knit him anything once he is a teenager!
